Congratulations if you're visiting the website because you've just got engaged!
We love weddings! All Saints' is one of the busiest wedding churches in York.
Please see below for a quick 7-step guide to getting married at All Saints' or St Andrew's. If you're looking for more general information about church weddings, please see the Church of England wedding website at https://www.yourchurchwedding.org/
7 steps to getting married at All Saints or St Andrew's
1: Contact the Parish Office to request a booking form - email firstname.lastname@example.org
2: Complete the booking form and return it to us. Before we can confirm a date and time for your wedding, we have a legal duty to check that you are eligible to get married in the parish. It is usually straightforward and the form will make that process as quick and simple as possible.
3: We will confirm your booking and send you some information to help with your planning.
4: We will invite you to a Marriage Preparation Day, usually held at All Saints' in February.
5: Contact us 3 months before your wedding so that we can put you in touch with the minister who will arrange to meet you to discuss the service in detail.
6: If you do not live in the parish, contact your local church to arrange for your banns to be read.
7: Come to a rehearsal at the church. If your wedding is scheduled for a Saturday, this is usually on the Thursday evening before.
